How do you guys feel about Erotic stories?

In my book series DOW: Dogz of War I'm getting ready to reach a decent stopping point. And I was thinking of a bit of world building. One of the ideas I came up with, was something of the Erotic nature. I was thinking that I could do a story based on the Red Light District of Kasaihana city

And by doing this, I could introduce politicians, and maybe even scan over the criminal underground under a new light.

BUT! This would entail alot of... sexual things within the stories content. And I wanted to know how people felt about that type of stuff. Also, I do a bit of a light novel. So, there may be images from time to time.

I don't think sexual aspects are bad if it has relevance to your story. I personally don't care for sexual elements just for the sake of having them.

You should also be mindful of the audience that Tapas is geared towards (18 and under) and what the site will allow you to have.

There is an audience for mature content on Tapas, but it’s a good idea to review Tapas rules regarding such content just to watch your toes.

Eroticism in service of a larger story is very likely to be okay. Just be careful that that comes across and the story doesn’t feel pornographic.

Otherwise yeah, write whatever feels relevant and has you inspired.

Ultimately, it's your story so you can do whatever you want but it's important to cover yourself! So go wild (within reason )

also I feel like "this is a story about the red light district so sex is like, gonna come up" is not ...necessarily the same thing as an Erotic Story? like it's a story for a mature audience either way, but I'd suspect there's a difference between "an erotic story" and "a story with sexual themes and content," depending on how much you show explicitly and how you frame it

Ohh, okay. I get that. I was under the impression that if sex was the focal point of a story than it was an Erotic literature. But okay thanks for clearing that up.
