In terms of âwhat makes you happyâ:
I guess none of the above? ("The number of views, subscribers, comments, or likes.")
Sometimes Iâll have an idea stuck in my mind for days, weeks... even months. Itâs not always a fully formed idea, more like a cluster of thoughts circling around each other. They donât always fit together at first. In fact, they often clash or feel incomplete.
But then eventually something clicks. The thoughts align, like puzzle pieces falling into place. The outcome isnât always perfect, but when it is, itâs deeply energizing and I get completely hyped.
Thatâs how stories (and other articles I write) are born in my mind, and itâs one of the things that truly makes me happy.
In terms of âsuccessâ:
For me, itâs the number of subscribers (if theyâre genuine, of course). Because that means you've managed to reach across to other people. And that, I think, is one of the hardest things to do nowadays.
