How Do You Setup a Scroll/Webtoon Style Comic?

So I'm planning to start a side comic, but to switch things up I wanted to create it in a scroll/typical webtoon style. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this and knows how to set it up. I imagine it's not just one long canvas with pictures. If anyone knows anything about this I would luv to hear from you!

Even though my comic doesn't squeeze an entire chapter into a single episode, you'll see it's definitely the same format. I make a thumbnail for the entire episode in one canvas, in low resolution; then I crop it into pieces, make them bigger and work on them as separate files. Once all of those pieces are complete, I put them together into one huge, long high res file.

THEN I shrink it for web viewing, and cut them into pieces again. XD That sounds redundant, but it's necessary because sometimes the pieces overlap (like if there's a continuous gradient connecting the pieces in the gutter). I have to put the pieces together in high res and work on the overlapping parts so I'll have a high res version of all the work -- including the overlapping parts.

A while ago, the creator of the webtoon Space Boy included something like this in one of his Q&A episodes. Maaaybe it could help you too! c:
My short comic Heya Shortie has a similar webtoonish feel and I also draw it piece by piece. (There can always be changes afterwards, so it's best to open another file and always check if everything looks alright when put together)

If you plan to draw a looooong image (like this), you can try to draw it in the original format (if your program and computer are fit for it), then cut them into pieces and upload them one by one, to put them together again on the site.
I guess that's a good way to not mess up the flow of an image, though keii4ii's way is probably more comfortable q:

You can definitely say that my comic :Rebirth is in a webtoon format LMFAO I find it easier to work with and I like the pacing of the webtoon format, helping me with my short attention span while scrolling through the page it's why I went with it T_T/

@lorenu's link is very useful! I do something similar to what the author of Space Boy does, draw page by page on a 940 x 1504 canvas (so i can later resize down to 800 x 1280, Webtoon's ideal canvas size) and after I'm done with all the page for the episode, I increase my canvas's height and drag each page into its proper place before processing to lineart and color on 1 single long canvas LMFAO Since I use SAI, this technique can be a little troublesome seeing how SAI's max dimension is 10,0000px, but that is where photoshop comes into the picture later

I use scroll type comic! I think its pretty cool to use specially if you want a slow-moderate speed of story telling,its also good for setting up mood!
