Honestly, choose whatever format you feel suits your comic best.
The ad-rev depends on how many people view your comic, so more frequent updates are more likely to net you new viewers, but how big those updates are is entirely up to you!
I'm one of those old aunties who has been reading webcomics for longer than a lot of the users on Tapastic have been alive (a lot of you are fairly young teenagers - I started reading webcomics 16+ years ago), so I'm personally used to a format of single-page updates once or several times a week - the classic webcomic update schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, at least in my experience, so I update my comic with a single page at the time, on Mondays and Fridays.
It means I can have frequent enough updates that the storyline stays fresh in the minds of my readers - also, my comic is kind of slow-paced/decompressed, so multiple updates a week is good for that reason as well - but having them be single-page updates also means I don't have to draw, like, 6 full colour pages a week on a regular basis, on top of all the other things I'm drawing and doing.
