How do you stay anonymous as a creator?

Planning to make a webtoon someday. However, considering that I'm from a country with repressive laws and this webtoon may have 'disagreeable' content such as nudity & political themes, I'd like to know: how do I remain anonymous?

So far, all I know is that I have to get a secure VPN & email account, such as Proton.

What are other steps I should be aware of?

uhm... u can spend all your time to stay hidden BUT it ll be never enough, because who "know" how to work in the net s A LOT more skilled than you.
expecially if u live somewhere where a government is pushing to control the nation.

another problem is... yourself. "more you speak" and more you are trackable. maybe u say about a place that few know, a fact, or someone... and then it s just a matter of time to know who is who.
or maybe you expose yourself by error (like... put online an image with gps location set on, or just reply by email using by mistake your real name...)

in the past i followed some anonymous who paid the price of this kind of mistakes. and some of them was not "newbies".

so... as many time is said... up to you.
if u want, do it. but stay also ready to "something".

Perhaps you should consider publishing on the dark web via Tor browser?

i am not the most PRO here for this business, but for what i know... u are more visibile on the dark web than the "normal" just because "quantity"... i mean, in the normal net there re so many users that u can stay hidden quite easy, while in the "dark/deep" web, if u re not a bit skilled... it's like to be a tower in a desert.

at this point u may consider to post on 4chan (if it not blocked in your country) and be helped by them. strange community but it may be helpful sometimes...

I don't think there's any way to be completely safe if you are posting from a country that pursues people who post political and mature content. You can be anonymous to the general public, but if the government really wants to find you . . .

You should assume that pretty much any website will be tracking you. What a website owner can see in Google Analytics is impressive. And that's just the little guys. The big guys can track you across the internet and compile more intricate information. Also, sooner or later someone is going to have a data leak, so even if their terms promise they'll keep the info safe, it isn't.
