Agreed with almost what everyone said !
But sometimes, even likes, comments and perfect schedule help to stay motivated. It happened to me a lot of time, mostly due to lack of confidence in my own skills, or the fact that I wasn't interested in anymore. When it comes to a thing like this, if it's a personal project, then I skip one or two updates with a little warning of no pages (because I don't have any buffer left now), do something else, like illustrations, playing games, see friends or procrastinating. Keeping doing doodles is a huge help, since you can work on things you don't do normally : designing/concept art of anything you would say "nah, I'll do this later", doing researches, experimenting or simply having fun.
The feeling and the motivation always naturally come back to me. Then I take again my week schedule and begin to draw again. It's like a natural cycle and I nearly always express a huge need of drawing comics. I WANT to have this story finished, so if I don't do anything, nothing will happen ! Then I remember all those nice comments and say to myself "yo you're really rude to the people who come, like and comment, go back to work you lazy girl".
It's quite a big answer, sorry ! Also keep in mind that a lot of people don't comment because they are too shy for it, but they read your story and wait for the next episodes !
