I've never made a kickstarter of my own but as someone who had backed many. It is best to have proof of concept or a project that's already completed/being completed that you're just printing. I don't think I've ever heard of a kickstarter to hire someone?
You do have to put together a package to sell your product on the kickstarter page(what is it, proof of concept, project details, etc.). I don't know how'd you even go about doing that if you're looking to hire someone for a job.
Also, I do believe kickstarter has to approve the project before it is made live on the site. I don't know what the bar for entry is with that but again, there's not a product being backed with this unless I'm misunderstanding.
