Well, and I'm not questioning the quality OR quantity of anyone else's work. As a reader on tapas, I absolutely love it. So much talent on here. I love that creaters can support other creaters using ink. I love a lot of things.
I guess I would agree with you that what is promoted is the high quantity stuff, but that's just about revenue and ad time. Of course they want to give the underground creators a chance, because there's a chance that will blow up and become big (and because they care). But in the end, whatever series will get the most views from the most readers will win out. It's not a literary choice, it's a marketing one? And it makes sense from a business and money-making standpoint.
That's why it's great that you can submit a story for premium if you want. That way, if it's not accepted, you can't really complain, can you? Not every story is right for everyone, and that's okay.
