How intrusive are the advertisements of the Tapastic Ad Revenue Program?

Hello, I'm wondering how intrusive the advertisements are on the Tapastic Ad Revenue Program. You see, I'm considering signing up for the program as a way to make some money to hopefully start supporting myself, but I'm not sure the level of advertisements that Tapastic is using, and I don't want potential readers to get choked by advertisements after just a few pages, or something like that.

The ads are always there! The only difference when you sign up for the Ad Rev program is that you start earning a bit of money from them!

If you're wondering what the ads are like, turn off ad block and head over to the website and have a look! They appear beneat the comment field of each episode as you scroll down, just before you reach the next episode. Looks like this:

IMHO, they're not very intrusive, and I've never been bothered by them myself, but your opinion might differ.

Anyway, they're only going to be seen by users who have their ad-block turned off.

I've never minded ads on my comic and I don't find it detracts from the reading experience. I actually kinda like them, because I know that whenever I see ads I'm helping out the author and Tapastic. Each ad impression generates money even if they aren't clicked on. c: It's why I don't use adblock on Tapastic: supporting each other!

You won't get choked by ads, either; I've never seen more than one line of ads between pages.

I've read very old forum comments about audio ads autoplaying but I haven't seen any recent complaints so I guess Tapastic did away with those at some point.

I just turned on ad revenue on my comic. I don't have the ads blocked, but honestly I don't even notice them.

Your comic has ads whether you turn on the Ad Revenue Program or not! If you turn on the Ad Revenue Program, you get some of the ad money (not a lot, but some!), if you don't turn it on, then Tapastic keeps all the ad money. That's the only difference!

The ads are very unobtrusive in our opinion. And there are only 3 (+1 as your one custom ad you get as a creator). Compared to other sites that ad-share revenue with creators, Tapastic ads are fewer and less in your face. Mobile users don't even see ads, though Tapas hopes to change that in the future so creators can earn even more money. Everyone wins with ads. Readers (free comics). Creators (incentive to draw). Tapastic (covers hosting costs). Win-win-win.

They're not a problem at all, I think. I mean, sure, they're there, I can see them (otherwise what would be the point?) but as long as there's no big pop up windows that are impossible to make go away if you're on a mobile device, then I'm ey OK! Overall I'm so OK with using the internet, enjoying free media that other people have worked and the only thing I need to "endure" is having ads on a site. When I start being not ok with it (when the big chunky pop ups have arrived to my favorite website) I might consider paying for that same content. The Spotify way of thinking of the world, ye?

Oh ho! I had no idea that the ads were there regardless of whether I participated in the ad revenue program. Well, that makes things rather simple, then. Ad Revenue program it is!

I personally don't notice the ads very much really. And yeah, might as well make money off of them since they aren't going anywhere. It's how Tapastic generates it's revenue which is definitely understand. I figure I might as well make a few pennies while i'm here anyway :D.
