for me?
took a yearish of not doing anything and just kinda fester my ideas
in regards of making the comic, or at least going forward and deciding to make it into a thing, it took me a month to read tutorials and a few more months to finish the first "Arch".
otherwise, I've been working on the comic for almost 2 years by the time of writing this.
my best advice is just say "fck it" and try to make something.
second advice is you have to be contempt with failing as well, and deciding on "how you can avoid it next time", fastest way to learn is through failure.
so don't stall failure to come and just take it like a man.
edit: not to say you can have standards for your comic, just don't be focused on making every page absolutly perfect, artists use shortcuts all the time, just don't undercut the value of your art as well, if a certain story beat needs good art, go for it, it's kinda learning how to be lazy, but still be efficient and having people not notice that you were taking shortcuts.
