How many pages does a printed comic has?

Just wondering for the future......in case a scenario where i adapt a webcomic into a printed work.

Any recommended length or recommended practices about page sizes and number of pages?

It is always better to draw on an a4 size paper with the Dpi of 600 (if colored, maybe just 350). For pages, it could be as much as you want. No one will bash you for that. ;3

Comicbook ranges around 24-30 pages. French comic is around 70 pages. But honestly you can do as much as necessary for your story

Wellll, I haven't really seen that many really thin one-shot stories if that's what you mean. And personally I'm more drawn to the thicker books, like with spines 1/2 - 1 inches thick.
For page sizes, you can look up the dimensions (for example Boom! Studios) that tell you where the bleeds/safe areas are.

I've seen people have issues with only 30 pages, others with many more - if your comic isn't split in chapters, just go where the stopping point feels the most appropriate and see which page quantity(including cover and back) won't break the bank. Always keep in mind that you might want to keep your comic's original files to account for bleed if you ever have plans to print.

I have the 1cm black border around my pages for this purpose, at first to give as a freebie on an Artists' Alley when I didn't have more than 3 pages and character profiles, but I'm still doing the pages the exact same way because no art gets lost in the bleed.

It should be as many pages as it takes for you to end in a satisfying place for a volume 1. If someone is going to purchase a printed book they'll want to finish it and feel like 1) something actually happened and 2) something was resolved, even if it wasn't everything.

Unless it's like 1 page stories or gag a day in which case "as many as you think people will pay for."

There are printed comics I've bought recently:

Alan Turing ~ 100 pages, one shot
Anne Frank ~ 150 pages, one shot
Monstress ~ 200 pages, volume 1
Punisher ~ 400 pages, volume 2

I've seen some very small issues are also sold in comics shops as a distinct tiny books, like this one:

with ~ 20 pages.

However long you need it to be. Some are 25-30 pages and others will easily hit 200+ pages.

I think the smallest I've seen, in terms of those small monthly issues is 16 pages. (there's more pages with ads on them) but 16 on it's own also fits the 4x print format where one sheet of paper is four pages.

Depends on how many panels you have, really. Start formatting pages and you'll get an idea.

You can only know how many pages your work will have when you've got a script, basically. Long comics can be hundreds of pages long, while short ones can be anywhere between 12 and 80 pages.
