Hi guys, so I am offered to do webcomic script in a collaborative project. How many percent script writer can get from the earning? Would really appreciate some tips about it too!

Thanks in advance!

Hiya Loly!

You should ask for all the percent.

20 to 25 percent as a start. But the more you collaborate, the more you should negotiate. Either 50/50, or 60/40. Just as long as you two are on good terms when collaborating.

It's always a good rule of thumb for all collaborators to split things evenly. So if it's you and an artist, 50/50, if there's four of you, 25% each. etc.

However you can also look at the work load each person is doing. If you're scripting an existing story, you might take less. If you're basically writing the story, you might take more.

@mrtoontastic LOL yea have to ask all the percentage XD. Thank you for the insight!

@SleepingPoppy yeppI will consider their workload because it's gonna be 40 panels per update and so i think it will be mostly goes to the artist ;3 thanks!
