Oh yeah. I spent much time whining about how people think shifter = werewolf. I use shifters in just about everything I write (I actually had to actively challenge myself to write a fantasy book without shifters LOL) so it was a huge pet peeve of mine for the longest time. It still is, but I don't let it bother me as much as it used to.

that's why I dont use the term werewolf at all. always shifter or changeling. Basis is wolves... but way more species I'm going to work with.

In my various books I have wolf shifters, lionesses, panthers, leopards, unicorns, a character that can turn into any species he see's but only the first of that animal of that species that he lays eyes on, um.... crap. I'm forgetting all the other shifters I have LOL I really do use them a lot in my books.

It's really great to delve into the different types that can exist so I highly recommend giving it a try at some point.

Lmfao, most popular "bad boy" tropes on Wattpad aren't actual bad boys. Anyway if I wanted cuddley werewolves I would just go to the Korean roleplay verse on Twitter (and even there, they mistake werewolves for shifters).

Funny thing, I´m also in wattpad though all I got there is written in Spanish. I just recently came to publish here some of my works translated in English.
