It depends on each individual author's contract. They might get paid by Tapas a lump sum for each episode they produce with a portion of purchased episodes on top of it. It's hard to say since contracted creators might not be at liberty to say what's in their contract. And the unknown gets deeper if it's an imported series from East Asia that's brokered by their local agents to western sites like Tapas.
