How much has changed from six months ago for your art?

For me, I'll just make a simple list, because if I were to write how I felt overall, I'd drone on for hours on-end.

1. Confidence boost. HUGE confidence boost, mostly because I'm getting more feedback and I feel much better when drawing overall. I don't hate my art anymore. I don't hate how it looks, but I still want to draw it better.
2. Speed. Instead of taking half a day to draw even two layers, I can now do a couple panels in 2 - 4 hours flat. It still doesn't help me with my many distractions and other things I need to do, but hey! Speed while keeping the same quality? That's great!
3. Speaking of Quality; My art now looks 4x better than when I started out in mid-February, actually getting serious with the drawing tablet. I can visibly see it with all of my drawings.
4. How I interract with others. I just feel a bit happier while interracting with others, and I've made quite a few friends on here that I didn't think I would have if I didn't post my art. Just jumping in is hard, but oh so worth it.

I think I'm definitely getting more confident with colors and coloring in general, which is something I've been meaning to work on since I seriously started posting my work online mid 2014. I like to credit my color comic series for helping me work with palettes on a weekly basis.

Oh yeah. The speed thing definitely happened. Plus my line work got a lot smoother and my work more detailed.

eeeeeeeeeverything has changed since february. i visited my future uni and enrolled on a fulltime art course for the next two years, and my art has changed a shitton. still not satisfied tho....

Uhh, it's hard to say. I know my letters vastly improved (figured out I had been accidentally doing something very silly with them without realizing it and it was making it difficult for people to read.)

I was a little embarrassed that I didn't even notice how bad the spacing was, but that's just what happens when you haven't done comics in a long time, I suppose. (it's a good thing, too, cuz now putting text into other people's comics is what I make my living on)

I know artwise I've improved too, but I think it's mostly just been refinement, but I'm actually trying to slow myself down a little and take my time because I'm bad about over scheduling and needing to rush through things.

SOCIALIZING WITH OTHER CREATORS AND FANS I'VE GOTTEN BAD ABOUT. I went into full on workmode and started ignoring everybody so I could get more work done, but that is no way to live, man, that is no way to live.

MAN I've noticed a lot of changes when I looked back at my first page and the last one I drew. The first drawing is some concept art that is a tad older than six month, but since I finally drew this scene it's the most compelling example of what changed

I always drew super fast so I don't think I can actually get faster -if anything I got slower because I actually put effort into backgrounds instead of just rushing steps-. I gained a lot of fluidity in my figures and confidence in drawing objects and backgrounds, and also simplified my style for the sake of clarity -begone useless, confusing blending !-. And I think the biggest change is probably that I finally started having FUN drawing comics. It took me four years of comic assignment at school to start getting confortable enough to have fun and it feels SO GOOD.
It's so weird how much can change in the course of some months without you realizing it. Makes me want to redraw all my drawing to see how they'll do in my improved style, but this would get me stuck in a loop of drawing the same things every six months haha

oh, oh oh oh I love this question <3 Because pretty much everythign. Since I started, I had no clue how to do shading, draw propper lines (I had no clue about stabilizers till recently) and I had no clue about how to work comic pages. But now, now I am confident in my drawing and shading abilities (though still learning every day!) and have become happy with how my pages turn out! Just take a look, you'll see that half way through the comic I learned about better shading techniques, it's fun to see how much my work has improved as time went on!
