I just funded a graphic novel kickstarter for my main comic and in the past have printed smaller runs. Things become a lot easier when you originally draw in page format, I'm not sure if it's worth reformatting a vertical scroll comic into a book unless you hire someone tbh (tried this once and i…

^ this is the correct answer
dear comic pals with printed books!! so i want to make a book and i was gonna do a kickstarter to print & ship everything - but then i realized createspace handles EVERYTHING for you and is 100% profit! On the other hand, it would be nice to customize everything and have copies to carry to cons..…
Are you able to live off of what you earn from tapas premium? I've always wondered about its viability as a career ;v;
I don't think Webtoon is scheming... Naver is a mega rich company investing its wealth into a platform that has skyrocketed in Asia. They don't need profit right now, they're still trying to grow into something that will dominate. Massive audience is because they've been advertising everywhere for…
Zap doesn't sandwich their double-sided clear acrylic (at least from my experience), they use a single slab with one coated print. I've used them a few times in the past, the quality of their acrylic and print is pretty good and they always throw in a few extras in case you get a defect. There's …
We have a really nice close knit server for creators here! https://discord.gg/585nNxZ

yep thats what i do, adds a bit more time to the overall process but it'll be easier to read online & you'll still be able to print later

I think it's unavoidable if you label yourself as an artist. The only way I can think of to sidestep a personal affiliation this is to refer to yourself as a company rather than an individual. Then instead of you, people would just see your logo.
Webtoon seems to be implementing new ways of "featuring"certain discover comics lately, like the front page banner and fresh picks section. The banner stays for a day or two, recommended titles(usually) a month, and as for the fresh section... I'm not really how that one works but you might get it …
17 rip I don't want to be an adult
Please make sure you have enough money to start! It's really awkward when you're selling something and you completely run out of change. ;v; please don't be me orz Definitely invest in a cash box and get a card reader if you can. Every convention I've gone to there's always at least one very exc…
I do both. For webcomics a scrolling format is generally preferred by readers, but I also do the page-by-page format so I can eventually turn it into a printed book. (I draw it in page format, then cut up the panels and put it into mobile format.)
I sorta experienced this? My comic blew up quickly over a short amount of time and it was pretty cool but a good portion of my audience is very young... and really passionate about shipping the characters. It’s awesome that people like them so much but some of the comments are a bit... ;v; wew t…
I think it’s fine. Like, it’s totally OK to show a teen in a swimsuit so I don’t think there should be any problem with undergarments, you know?
Keep your rewards simple. Keep your stretch goals simple, or don't have any at all. Advertise before you launch - build hype over it, but don't be annoying - as well as while it's running. Get your family and friends to spread the word, and MAKE SURE to calculate shipping(especially international…
4 month difference, but here's a comparison of my character from the first episode to now [image] [image]
Yeah, I actually do all my writing around 3 AM. I'm dazed enough that I come up with random ideas/scenarios that would have never surfaced in the day.
As far as I've seen, there are genre categories for Drama/Comedy/Action and such, but nothing that filters BL. If you're averse to it, I'd just avoid anything with the tag.
