Hello! I have been experiencing what is best described as drawing delays with my H610PRO Huion tablet, exclusively on Medibang/Fire Alpaca. I knew that this was not pen lag because I didn't have this problem with MSpaint or 3D Paint and I have finally come up with a solution to this problem! (This is on my Windows 10 computer/Huion tablet by the way, I don't know if this same trick will work with other devices/tablets.
)
1st step: Check on different apps if you are having delays or actual pen lag. I recommend using MSpaint to test this! If you don't experience any lag on MSpaint but you do on your regular drawing app, you most likely are experiencing delays.
2nd step: Now that you know that you are having delays, go into your computer settings. There should be a sub-setting called Devices (bluetooth, printers, mouse). Click this setting.
3rd step: This will bring you onto a page called Bluetooth & other devices. You will not be able to access the settings to your pen/tablet from here. However, there should be a list to the right called Related settings. Click on the link that says Devices and printers.
4th step: This will bring you onto a control panel. There should be multiple rows of different devices, the top one being named Devices. If you have your tablet connected, it will show you a picture of a keyboard named PenTablet.
5th step: Right click the picture of the keyboard. A column will appear with different links. The top one should have a picture of a mouse called Mouse settings. Click on this.
6th step: A small page will appear called Mouse Properties. There should be different tabs to switch to, click on the tab called Pointer Options.
7th step: There should be different rows of things, the top one being called Motion. It will let you select different pointer speeds on a slider bar. The slider should be set around the middle of the bar by default. Set the slider anywhere from above the middle to its highest speed. This should fix any delays when it comes to drawing on drawing apps. Press the OK button at the bottom when you are done!
I recommend testing the speed you have it set to on your drawing app before deciding you are done! You will have to repeatedly save your settings before changing the speed of your pointer again, but this way you be able to find the perfect speed. Technically, any speed above which ever one completely reduces delays will work, but just in case! Mine is set to the 3rd notch from the highest speed.
I hope this helps!
