How to get more subscribers/support?

Hi y'all! I'm fairly new to Tapas, as I've only released 3 episodes so far of my series Tales of Hinari since late October. I currently have 15 subscribers and I would LOVE to reach 25 soon.

For those who've seen their subscriber base grow, what advice would you give to new creators looking to increase engagement/subscribers? I'd appreciate any advice!!!

Be involved in the community, help new users, update often (but not under the 24h mark then your story won't show in the Fresh section where new updates and stories go). Have a good cover and summary, if you're a writer, stick to around 600-1k words but it can work to have longer chapters as well. Schedule chapters ahead of time so readers know when to expect a new chapter.

Use your author's note to promote other creators or show a glimpse into your personal life. Respond to commenters, they will appreciate it.

The best advice I can give is be patient, be nice and be authentic. It takes a while to build a following as an independent comic creator. Being nice and helping out anyone you can along the way will pay off in the long term. Not only will you have friends, but readers also gravitate towards creators who show that they’re not just in it to feed their own egos.
