How to get my comic book (manga) to get noticed?

Greeting fellow paper scratchers!
I am new to this website and looking for my manga to be noticed. I read some very useful info about how I need to stay devoted, upload on a regular basis (A promised weekly date), be responsive to comments etc. Is there a way to show myself to others like "Hey guys I'm here. Wanna check out what i've got?" kind of thing, or do I just need to quietly work, upload regularly and cross my pinkies that people will take notice of me?
I am planing a lot of work ahead and I do have some prepared work, but I don't want to slap it on the table all at once since that would make my uploading times rather difficult at times. You understand wink wink

Yeah you could use this thread to introduce this comic if you liked.

Often, there are threads to display work as well so you don't have to stay quiet. It's just about keeping a balance... I try to keep promo stuff off threads where it clearly doesn't belong but don't feel like you can't ever say anything about it.

As an introduction to the comic? Sure! I wouldn't do it for every chapter update though.

There's many ways to get your comic out there, other than just crossing your fingers. Some of them include:

• Participate in the forums, in different comic communities, make author friends, etc. Being active in the community gives more opportunities for people to find you. Your tapas forum profile has a link to your Patreon for instance, which I would never have seen if you hadn't posted this thread.

• Cross-promote with other authors. There's currently a thread on the forums called "cross-promo megathread" where you can hook up with authors for cross-promo. You agree to feature them to your audience in exchange for them doing the same.

• Buy ads. From sites like Project Wonderful or TopWebcomics.com

• Be active on social media. Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Deviantart... More outlets for getting fans, more chances of being seen.

Thanks for the advice. I'm really getting into what you are telling me and I want to do things right. The cross-promote seems like a legit approach and participating in the forums overall.
Im currently covering the social media question, and about the ads, I have no Idea what this is about But I'm sure its something helpful and i will check those websites to understand it more. Im a quick learner so it wont be a problem.

Anyone can do it, everyone loves a good contest, especially if you left them on a good cliffhanger in your story

Ads are just what it sounds like: you buy a spot on a website for an ad about your comic to play, getting more people's attention. It is the only one of my suggestions that is not free though. Project Wonderful is a place specifically to buy ads for comics, it lists various websites and you have to bid where your ad will appear. TopWebcomics.com is a list of webcomics ranked from the number of votes they get, but they also have adspots they sell to whoever want to buy one. They have several options but the cheapest one is only 1$ a day so it's pretty affordable.

If you are active on Tapas's forums, I strongly recommend adding a link to your comic or Tapastic profile. The easier it is to reach your comic, the more likely a potential reader is to check it out.
