How to make a dark silver color paint on photoshop cs5

Just a quick hint I'm looking for cause I need the color for a character I'm coloring in my older episodes, so in terms of R,G,B number values, which number combination will give me a dark silver color.
Just incase I seem confusing here is an example
R-255
G-255
B-255
to give the color white, so using that method does anyone know how I can produce dark silver

Well, silver is really just gray with a metallic finish. So I suggest just laying down a flat gray (as dark as you like), then playing with highlights and shadows to give it that metallic effect.

In addition to what @joannekwan said, there are layer settings you can apply in most drawing programs to get a "shinier" look. The best one I've had to use is the Luminosity layer setting in Paint Tool SAI, but you can achieve the same thing in Photoshop/Clip Studio Paint by adding adjustment layers or setting the layer settings to Soft Light/Hard Light/whatever works really. If you're going for silver though, it definitely is more of a "finish" than a color (much like how black and white are tones, not colors) so you'll need to use an extra layer or two to get the look you're going for

I draw shiny metal colors differently. I use a layer of the flat color of the metal (or whatever it is) and then 3 layers on top of that, one with a darker color than the base color, another with just black, and then another using either white or the base color using a Glow or Soft Glow blending layer. I can then add more highlights (like colors from light reflections) on top of that and get real fancy with it.

It has a more graphic feel rather than realistic but it gets the message across.
