How to write a power system?

Any tips on what to do when it comes to power system? I want to make mine made sense, effortlessly; as if it’s built into my world in my comic. Is it possible?

Yes, it is, you just need to have the power system deeply linked to the lore/world-building, and have it function in favor of the story, by facilitating or enabling the events of the plot and character beats, this will make it seems natural.

Should I introduce the power scaling/system right in the first chapter of my comic?

Depends, ideally, the sooner the audience knows how things work the better, but you got to consider things like pacing, in the first chapter you will have to introduce a lot, so you will have to decide which is more important.

I would give preference to the characters introduction, but you may find it more important to get the worldbuilding out of the way.

I would caution against putting a significant amount of world building in the first chapter (personally as a reader, I won't continue a story that has too much explaining at the jump). If you do, it should be shown and not told. Telling can wait until it's important to the plot and should be paced out in a way where the reader/audience has enough questions about certain aspects of the world that they are ready to have those answers explained to them. But it all depends on what you think would be best for your story.

Make it simple as possible I guess? Maybe show off the battle system without saying anything in a fight scene?

Building the power system into your worldbuilding and lore would help a lot, but when you’d show and tell might depend on the pacing. What would the first chapter be like? Introducing small parts of the power system could work in a first chapter if there’d be a fight in it, and there was more showing than telling.

Telling too much at once at the start could interfere with the pacing and many readers don’t like to have so much exposition in the first chapter. Starting by showing off small parts of the system and how it works while keeping some mystery could help draw intrigue to it.
