There's no chance of being animated unless either:
A: you do it yourself
B: you're getting millions of subs and views, leading for a big animation company to offer to animate your work.
It doesn't automatically happen

it's also worth noting from the animation industry perspective i've seen folks describe how ridiculously hard it can be to market new original stories when in many cases big companies will fall on known ips that they feel they can keep milking to get more money out of rather than "risk" some new unknown story. it's a tricky thing with a lot more complex obstacles than folks may realize

now that doesn't mean i don't think it'd be great to see works animated but between all the legal stuff and just navigating general business negotiations it's not an easy path hence why many folks are trying to create and fund things independently but even that's a challenge considering there's still things like marketing, being able to reach goals and having a product folks are interested in because there's been many instances of great stories trying to get themselves out there but not enough support to really go that far.

plus it's like stargazer said unless you've got a massive audience or your content is widely recognized getting things animated or published or what have you can be a real challenge which is why even with all the success stories you see there are still struggles that it took to get there along with insane amounts of luck or being around the right people

My day job involves childrens IP, and seriously, you would not believe how much goes into making an animated series. You need a producer to manage it all, concept artists, storyboarders, scriptwriters, editors, at least one director, a team of animators, a music composer, sound effects, voice acting, design and promo, plus the space and equipment for all of it... and it ends up with just an incredible production cost.

Tapas are honestly sensible to start out with just a handful of their super-top most popular series for animation, because anything else would be a massive financial risk that could potentially sink the whole company.

It probably won't happen. For good reason. I probably wouldn't want Nixvir to get animated in case the animated series eclipses the comic, as Walt Disney's interpretation of Mary Poppins did to P.L. Travers' original novels. Plus, it would be potentially exploitative. Mind you, a comic dub with elements of animation wouldn't be too bad.

Despite being hosted in English, Tapas is not owned by a Western company. And if an animated series ever happen through Tapas, it would probably be one of their Premium series.

When it comes to animated series based on webcomics, there is a show based on Lore Olympics which is currently in development. Despite how you feel about the original comic, if the show is successful it could pave the way for more series to get developed into shows.

I have had similar feelings about Marry Me, which is a RomCom movie based loosely off a webcomic. I wonder if that will get studios interested in adapting more series that are not action/superhero stuff.

As someone who's worked with people in the industry all I can say is CONNECTIONS, CONNECTIONS, CONNECTIONS.

As some others have noted, there are so, so many factors when it comes to adaptations. The legal stuff itself is a huge hurdle, not to mention the financial aspect. People seem to think this stuff is easy and doesn’t take massive amounts of money and work. And, you know, time. Of course they want to make sure whatever story is big enough before they sink money into it (I’m not saying companies shouldn’t take some chances, because I’m tired of seeing the same old “we can make money off this well-known property for sure...and run it into the ground”, but I understand the risks involved, and why you can’t do this for every story).

I’m sure the more successful series are, and the more the platform grows, there will probably be change, but that’s more than likely pretty far in the distance. As creators, it’s our job to produce the best work we can, and grow our own audience and stories, and seize opportunities when they come.
