How Would You Suggest I Change My Character?

My character looks like Cyanide and Happiness characters, which I'm getting frustrated with. I'm making new designs, but they all somehow look like Cyanide And Happiness characters (I haven't used them all in comics). So, how would you suggest I change up my characters? I'm looking for GENERAL ADVICE so that I'm still making my own character.

Cyanide and Happyness characters have a round head, square bodies and sticks for arms and legs.

You already changed the colors, but if you keep the shapes, they will look like them anyway.

Luckily there is more than one way to draw stick figures, they dont even need to be humans.

Of course is not neccesary to go for Peppa Pig style. Maybe if you mix references and give it your personal touch, you will be able to get a stick figure art style that stands out among other stick characters.

You're operating in an area of high abstraction, where most of what you draw is depicted in the span of a few lines. The easiest way to differentiate yourself from Cyanide and Happiness is by changing your shapes, and the proportions within those shapes. Right now you have roughly similar positioning of features (mouth and eyes) in a circular head, a square body with no neck, and arms and legs the same length as the square torso. Drastically change any number of those elements, and they will be completely different. Go wild. You don't have to keep all of your designs, just the ones that work. Try a square head and a rhombus body, triangle head with square body, long oval head and upside-down triangle body, whatever.

Honestly I think they will always resemble those characters, with such a simple style there's only so many things you can change. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something you should understand. though if you're will to complicate things a bit try changing...
- Face shapes
-eye shapes
- height
-body build
- eye brow thickness (ext)
Think of what makes a face recognizable and try to change it. draw your character beside each other with no colours and see if you can still tell the difference. For an easier way you can add facial/ body markings into the mix (freckles ,scars and beauty marks).
I think adding hair may also help your case as hair colours and styles can really help separate characters. These things don't have to become complicated if you don't want them to.
EXAMPLE OF A 3 CHARACTER SET

1. Tall with freckles
2. Average height plain face
3. Short Scar on cheek

OR

1. Oval head, Square eyes
2. Circle head, Circle eyes
3. Triangle head with on eye

Things jest need to feel different between styles and possibly characters to add your own touch.

Umm... okay... how about going for a Rayman look with only floating limbs/orbs? I don't think anyone's doing that for their stick figure comics.
