Alicia

Would ask her crush out: Very, very, shyly/embarrasedly. Or...angrily, depending on the context of the conversation that came before her being willing to tell him she liked him.

She basically has two modes. Either she would basically stumble over her words the whole time and be red as a beet or she would absolutely explode at him because she's sick and tired of waiting for him to confess that he likes her.

But on the plus side, once they were actually a couple she would stop being so awkward (and/or volatile) and be able to be actually cute and flirty (well, being flustered can be kind of cute.) She's mostly just awkward when she's nervous or unsure how things are gonna go.

Being asked out: Also very very awkwardly. But like above, she would get over that fairly quickly, and only be a little bit shy.

Kattar:

Would ask his crush out: Never. But if he accidentally slipped up and was driven into a corner, he would resign himself to admitting he liked her and try to be as frank and honest as possible, while still revealing as little about himself as is literally possible, though it would be almost literally be physically painful for him.

Being asked out: would be somewhere between dumbfounded and disbelieving. But when he knew, unlike Alicia, he wouldn't be that embarrassed, but actually just really happy, and maybe a little playful and coquettish.

Out of the 3 characters I’ve introduced until now, only one of them has ever even had a crush. He was really clingy, loud, and coming off as kind of creepy to them, so all of them rejected him. Hard.
If he was asked out by a girl, he’d accept instantly, with little consideration on who the girl herself is. He could probably be tricked into joining a cult very, very easily.
If a guy asked him out, he’d reject them, but insist on becoming best bros. And also try and convince every man on earth on how dateable this hypothetical guy is. “Helping a bro out” as he’d see it.

Talking about non introduced characters, slinky would probably just directly ask if she wants to marry them instantly, cause slinky genuinely does not understand the difference between dating and marriage. Slinky would probably get dismissed by their crush instantly and told they were confused.
Slinky would not understand they were being asked out unless it was spelled out for them. And they would probably reject 90% of all humans ever.

So here's the thing. If (before she was married) someone who Melissa had a crush on had asked her out she would have freaked out (excitedly) and been over the moon with joy practically giddy with excitement.

However, when her (now husband) asked her out the first time she was absolutely dumbfounded. He's almost ten years older than her, and it had never even occurred to her to consider him a potential romantic partner. Especially because he's so stoic, and she's so loud and excitable, she never thought he'd have any kind of interest in her.
It was probably the first time in her life she'd ever felt shy and uncomfortable. She really didn't know what she was supposed to say to that, and only went on the first date because one of her sisters suggested she go. Now she's very happy she did, as she loves her husband and wouldn't trade her marriage for the world, but it was definitely an awkward experience for her in the beginning.

Andrew would do so very awkwardly. He's never dated anyone and he is well aware that he's pretty inexperienced in many normal kinds of human interaction which makes him more awkward still. He was kind of isolated from most people his age (not intentionally) since age ten, just cuz everybody who lived nearby was an adult, so his views on courtship are also a little old-fashioned, but in a good way. He would never be too forward and would be very respectful.

Riley would tragically not believe she actually meant to ask him out because she "like liked" him, and self-sabotage the whole thing.

He would ask her out, never. Never ever ever. But assuming he ever reached a point in his life where he was mentally stable and confident enough to try it would basically be like "hey, do you want to like, go to the movies or something this weekend?"

Leia would ask her bigger crush out something like "Hey want to go get dinner?" and he would not realize she was asking him out, agree, and then she'd be like "No, like a date." and he'd then be like "oh..." and they'd have to have a long conversation about this sudden development lol.

If she asked her other crush out, he'd probably want to take charge of the whole affair, turning it into something completely different from what she originally intended and it would be a big mess...

If her bigger crush asked her out, she'd be happy, tell him she liked him too, but apologize saying her head is a mess right now, and she's not ready to date him yet. "She'd not be what he's looking for." allegedly and say something like "I don't want to waste your time."

If her second crush asked her out, she would probably say no at first, irritated and flustered, but then let him persuade her into going.

If given ample time to prepare, Dominic would ask Essence out with a bouquet of origami flowers he made. He wasn't given time to prepare, so he just asked her out with...words. A tiny bit embarrassed, but he was mostly okay, not that nervous or uncomfortably.

If she asked him out, he would be over the moon. Super excited and happy, but not really shy, flustered or embarrassed, though his face might redden a little bit. He would be a little too excited probably though, and would have to stop himself from kissing her on the spot.

Now that they're relationship has developed further, Kattar and Alicia ask each other to go on dates quite often, and they are not that awkward 90% of the time. It sometimes depends on context, and despite Kattar thinking he's good at controlling his emotions, he has gotten a bit flustered and awkward trying to ask her out (especially in the black dress scenario) but Alicia is not as shy as she would have expected to be, and kind of goes between shy and flirty in the same conversations.

She asks him out

he asks her out

Aniro would ask Anaga to start a relationship with him. Her only reaction would be to give him a piece of paper then leave. Aniro would think he was rejected and Den would try to comfort him, but quickly notice the paper. They realize that Anaga gave him a marriage contract.

She is a warrior who strives to achieve high ranks. She would prefer to ascend to the rank of wife as soon as possible. After being explained how dating works to strengthen a relationship she would see it as a challenge to make the relationship as strong as possible in order to earn the title of wife.

Honey would ask her crush out flat out. No beating around the world, no being coquettish to try to get him to ask her out first. If she really seriously liked him, she'd just tell him. Whether he rejects her or not is on him, and she tries not to let rejection make her doubt herself.

If someone she liked asked her out, she'd be super happy, and probably get kind of flirty almost immediately.

Texas and Chili already live with their crushes (read, each other) but saying how they would react to be asked out would be a spoiler, but i can say how they would ask their crush out if given ample time, because it doesn't go like anyone might have planned.

Chili would ask Texas to go to out to dinner, which they do all the time, but when she asked why he would choose such a fancy restaurant he would tell her "Because today is a very special occasion. our first date."

Texas would ask him to let her draw him, and then write, "will you go on a date with me" on the finished sketch

Christopher would just ask Mora flat out "Would you like to go get ice cream, as a date." But he would throw it into the middle of a conversation so unaffectedly that it would take her a minute to even register what he said.

if she asked him out he'd probably take a second to register it and be like, "Ohhh, oh. A date? you want to go on a date. Sure. Yeah, sure. that would be...cool."

18 days later

Mora would ask Christopher George out in a pretty round about way like "have you ever been to that new pizza place by the mall?" "no?" "Would you like to go with me? For like...a date?"

If she got asked out she would probably just be really happy like, "Oh, yeah of course. That would be great."
