Hi yall, just uploaded chapter 20 of my twist on the enemies to lovers trope set in the victorian era. I would love for you to give it a read! Below is a snippet along with a link to the recent chapter!

âIâll be postponing the wedding as you had initially asked of me,â he exhales, clicking his tongue, âso⌠six months.â âHowever, you may consider it but a brief period for an almost guaranteed lifetime of peace. Tracking you down in the aftermath of your departure will prove entirely impossible and neither I nor anyone who once knew you could ever hope to recognize you.â
âSeems as though you stand to lose much in the settlement when we ultimately part ways,â I remark, with a tilt of my head, âI find that suspicious you wouldnât afford yourself the luxury of more time.â
âI merely thought it considerate not to waste yours any further.â
âConsiderate?â I repeat skeptically, âI would think itâs rather your arrogance that makes you so certain you could dissuade me in six monthsâ time.â
âPerhaps,â he replies ambiguously, with a shrug. âSo, are we in agreement?â
âWe most certainly are,â I affirm, snatching the quill. This will make for good insurance in the event I fail to steal the brooch, first. Signing off on the document, I swiftly hand him back the feather for his signature.
