[image] In the process of digitally converting my novel's maps, decided to start with the least detailed one. I think it came out better than I expected.

This reminds me of a Roald Dahl book about a married couple I read as child, The Twits, I think. In it he describes the wife as starting out as very pretty child but as she grew up her bad attitude and despicable thoughts began to show in her face until she became so ugly people couldn't bear to loo…

I haven't gotten into specifics yet. But, what I found particularly interesting so far was that there was a considerable amount of scientific progress in later Middle Ages. Researchers have found large amount of evidence showing that not only were autopsies and dissection not banned by the church b…

Hi there! You novel seems right up my alley. Will have a look. Mine follows a somewhat similar vein. Have a look and see if it's something you will like.

Chapter 5: Episode 2 - the Right Path. "The Maker is not always kind with the threads he weaves."

You could go the real world route. They'll want to know more about each other but be too nervous ask directly, so have one stalk the other on social media and accidentally like an old post or pic or something maybe. Depending on how you set it up it could lead to all sorts of shenanigans.

My fantasy novel is a little on the grim side, so researching medieval autopsy to set good scene and tone for the episode I'm currently working on. Also researching the differences between types of ghosts. Pretty cool creating unique names for your weeks and months. I did the same for the months a…

Hi there! You could try my dark fantasy and see if its to your liking.

A strong, icy wind blew past her, its cold tendrils finding their way through her layers of wool and fur. The beast she was carrying at her belly whimpered, curling into a tighter ball. She shivered and pulled her wool scarf over her mouth and nose, turning to the whirlwind that twisted and twirled …

Thank you, might be the quickest way to get them off the site.

I am trying to but there are so many, especially in the romance category.

I think we have spam posing as novels. I saw a reddit post where this became a problem on webtoon canvas because there were thousands of these things and they took over the entire landing page. [image]

So I gained free ink once from read one of their suggested comics in my Messages and again from opening a fortune cookie on the app. Both times the ink disappeared after a few days and I went back to having zero. Am I missing something? Is there some fine print I missed that indicates when it expire…

I think that the audience for comics is bigger, and they are marketed more extensively on the mobile app. Novels have a better possibility of being seen on a desktop. Also, it probably depends on the genre of your novel too, I suppose. Romance and Romance Fantasy seem to be popular, but I would thin…

Ooh, how did I miss this. It will have to be Elf Noir. I don't really prefer first person, but I don't notice it here. Love the concept, love the lore, love the characters, love the gritty settng and has the perfect level of violence. Then mine of course. The Hybrid: Chasing Destiny. I'd kind l…

I think I have that approach too. Though I fumble a bit on the last step. lol

True. I wouldn't suggest doing the process for every idea just the overarching one to see if it works well with whatever its intention is. I definitely used some of these hats when editing without knowing.

Right? It will eliminate or refine some of the half-baked ideas I have floating around in my head.

So I've been listening to a Course Module on Business Strategy where they discussed a topic that made me think "Hey! I can use that with my writing!" and I thought I'd share. Edward De Bono’s 6 Thinking Hats method provides an opportunity or process for different perspectives or ways of thinking (…

I have that reasoning as well, kinda want to see how well it does on it's own first. But, I'll admit I get tempted.

No shame or judgement, I expect authors to be their creation's biggest fan. But I was wondering if anyone had the errand thought to click subscribe after viewing an episode from reader perspective as well. [:sweat_02:]

15 episodes ahead for my novel so far in case I fall into a slump. My aim is to finish a new episode for every one that is released each week or write a paragragh at the very least each day.

For the first 5 episodes Ava probably smells like cow and cat.

Alrighty, I did like your story very much and will now have to live with the sweet torture of never knowing what happens to the Raelin and Charlotte afterwards. Right off the bat the story subverted my expectations from beginning to the very end, I would have expected the POV to be from someone in t…

Hi There! If you're still feeling up to it, my just concluded my first chapter and would appreciate your feedback. It's a slow burn dark fantasy.

Had to make a new custom thumbnail. [image]

I absoutely love mine. The guy who made it for me nailed everything that I wanted to portray. [image]

I don't particularly have a good grasp on poetry, but I will definitely suggest you to a friend of mine who loves it.

“Do not fight me. It is your destiny to carry me to mine,” the voice echoed in his mind. It's from chapter 4 and not out yet but still my favourite. My second fav has to be from chapter 5: He could admit that it really was a well-made sword, a petty about its brutish design, though. It matched Ava p…

Hi there The Hybrid: Chasing Destiny has updated with a new episode. Synopsis Since mortals first walked Archaicron, they have wrought chaos and destruction in the effort to change the threads of their fate. Abandoned at birth and raised by an untouchable, Ava was never destined to become anythi…
