It kinda depends:
if you're just having second thoughts because you don't think you're good enough, push those feelings aside and charge forward! The truth of the matter is, artists are our own worst critic. If you wait to get good enough at drawing or writing to start, you never will probably. Further comics are great practice for both areas ;D
On the other hand, comics are very labor intensive and time consuming. You will get better while making one, but if it seems like more of an investment than you want to take on, there's no shame in that either!
I might recommend a halfway compromise: start making a comic now and see how it goes! If you find yourself not having fun in a few months, feel free to drop it and maybe try again later. I basically did that myself: I started trying to make comics in middle and highschool but never got past writing a few chapters, and drawing the first (plus, it was just way too long of a story to start with xD it was basically my version of a long running fantasy shonen manga). So I kinda dropped it while I went to college, and in fact I didn't even draw much over those years. Now I've been out of school for a couple years and just recently got back into drawing and just started work on a 60 page "short" story! I'm going to start with that and see how I feel after lol
