Tldr- get your comic issues printed physically.
Tapas is closing, pretty much every webcomic site sucks imo aside from tapas where its easy af to understand, but i have the solution (for myself anyway)
Comicfury- im posting my stuff there, idc if anyone sees it because its a good place to just throw your stuff onto.
Byt the real gigachad move is - getting your comic printed physically. Ill assemble 200 or so pages and get a volume printed and published physically for like 30 bucks. Even though only ill see it, itll feel great having my own physical book that i made on my shelf.
It feels bad, but from what i can see, its too hard to get people to see your work. Id push myself to a breaking point to make an issue and get like 30 views and 10 likes if im lucky. So its not really worth doing it if you think people are gonna care. On top of the fact that websites can just be deleted.... all your work erased. As far as i can tell. Nobody is ever gonna care about my characters the way i am. So ill make my comic series entirely for my own eyes,and ill pop them on comic fury for whoever stumbles on em. Also the fact that on these webcomic sites, you open the main page and youre inundated (is that the right word?) with sexual comics. Its hard to be there with the intention of making something you want other people to take serious when you go on the website and you see a bunch of comics about sexual things. Just immediately thats all you see.
I dont really care anymore. Its too hard to convince people to read your stories lol. Why would they when there's gigantic anime manga comic franchises for them to choose. And on comic fury you gotta be careful with how you promo on that forum, so id have to make a twitter account or something and lol nobody on there is looking for nightmare heroes.
Only i will ever truly care or understand my dumb comic book series. More like a western manga, but you get it.
