I hate this sizing on the website

So I have been trying to post on Tapastic and I wanted to make sure that I didn't spend like an hour on making a comic and then it doesn't fit. Ive tried so many different sizes and just none of them seem to work. Ive been changing DPI, all of the pixels and it keeps on saying the same thing. Image to wide max px 940. I have no idea what to do to get this to work. Btw Im using Photoshop and im making it a png. So if you know the answer it would be great if you could tell me!!!!

If you check where the resizing lists the canvas in inches, you can change that to pixels and just make it exactly 940. That should solve the problem?

Well what's the size of your image? Plus also what is the the file size as well? PNG files can be quite large compared to say .JPEG. Images on here have to be 940x4000 and have to be, IIRC, 2MB or less. Quite frankly, it's a lot easier to use Photoshop's "Save For Web and Device" option and make the necessary changes in size and format there.

If you already have panels you can use GIMP and resize it.

Image>Scale>change width to 940 pixels>enter>export as jpg to keep filesize down.

I'm not sure why you're asking what size if you already know it's 940px.

Not familiar with Photoshop so I didn't attempt to suggest you could do the same in that program.

There's an easy way to solve this in most photo manipulation or art programs, but you need to make a very very very important distinction between canvas and image.
In these programs there are often two options: Canvas size, and image resolution. Canvas size changes the area you have to draw on. Image resolution resizes your picture. Alter your canvas when you need more space and your resolution when you need it to be smaller.
In Photoshop, you go to Image>Image Size and make sure it's set to keep your proportions, then set your width to 940 and let the program resize it for you. Then it should work on Tapas.

Seconded. I find Photoshop's "Save For Web and Device" function invaulable. I create a large primary artwork, and then use it to save copies of the comic at three different sizes for three different outlets.

https://croppy.beta1042.duckdns.org/ My husband made this for you guys You can feed it PNG, PSD, TIFF, or JPG files For LINE Webtoon- it resizes your images to 800 width and cuts it 1280 heights and gives you JPG files. For Tapas- it resizes files larger than 940width is resizes to 940 width and cuts heights of 700 and gives you PNG files. (they're so short because it guarantees your files are below the 2mb limit) It's alittle slow, and slows the more people are using it at the same time. …
