I have a question for the people of Tapas that has Vitiligo

So in my story I have a character named Color Stargazer. But she just goes by Color/Colorful. Anyways, she has a unique version of Vitiligo I like to call "Rainbow Vitiligo." The reason why I call it that is because her skin, hair, and eyes are constantly changing colors. So one panel she might have dark skin with white hair and white patches, but on another panel she would have light skin with red hair and brown patches. But since this is anime she would have more hair and eye colors to cycle through such as: Blue, Green, Orange, etc.

I've read online that its possible for areas affected to revert back to normal, either through treatment or naturally. (That's how I got this idea to begin with.) So THERORETICALLY it should be perfectly possible for a person with Vitiligo to regain pigmentation in one area and lose it in a different area. Of course if this were to happen in real life the changes would take years to happen rather than minutes.

So my question is; Would this actually be able to happen in real life?

not someone with vitiligo, but i did research on it to depict it properly on my character --
i haven't heard of "recovery" from vitiligo without treatment. There's also different versions of vitiligo, some and progressive, some are not.


here's a good representation of the different types. Also, symmetrical/universal vitiligo seems to be the most common, but DON'T take my word on that. Most types are progressive, and will eventually cover most of the skin. I think Focal/segmental stuff just appears and doesn't get any worse, but it's been a while.
pigment loss on hair isn't also very common, but possible.
Note: Don't have vitiligo, just did research on it to best depict my own character

(I am not really knowledgeable, my father has vitiligo so I spent some time reading) As far as I know, one can regain color on spots with treatment, but the body won't do it on its own. Full hair and eyes discoloration is not something realistic for sure.
If we talk about a comic, I think it would be a pain to draw and would be very confusing too. Overall it sounds pretty cool, so maybe make her some more or less permanent big spots that can change color Like a generous amount of big and small spots on body, a patch in her hair, half of one eye and one eye eyelashes.
It would look interesting, while the character will remain recognizable and your brain won't die thinking about all the new color combinations.
