Hello! I’m a 1-year comic artist on Tapas and for the first anniversary of my being here I’ve redone my prologue. In celebration anyone who can write a few small things (bad or good, I’m mostly looking for feedback) on my seven episode prologue I’ll gladly return the favour by giving in depth reviews on the first seven episodes of your comic! When I say in-depth reviews what I’m going to say will be all the things I like, and perhaps one bit of constructive criticism, but I will in now way be harsh. Just like I’m redoing my prologue I know how hard artists work and how much we grow.

All comics are welcome, I look forward to anyone who cares to participate!

Sure, I'd be happy to take a look at yours and give some feedback, I'll need a link or series name to look up though!

Here's mine! (I don't upload 1 page at a time so it's hard to identify 7 pages, but episode one is at least that. It's a pretty quick read since there's not much exposition or dialogue though!)

Oops! I meant episodes! I say pages but ‘episodes may is what I mean ^^’ I’ll go ahead and read yours first to start things rolling!

I read through your prologue! Beautiful art style and a very intriguing story; I'm exciting to see more! My only complaint would be the font chosen for the story the mother tells at the end (part 5 through 7 if I remember right). While pretty, it's rather hard to read. I misread walk as milk at one point and got rather confused  Aside from that, I loved the pages and cannot wait to see the next part!

Here's mine! It has 6 episodes to it, the first four being 10 pages and the last two 5 pages. You don't have to read all of it! The first 3 episodes are a prologue more or less.

Oh thanks for the review, I’d usually do yours first but I’ll get right to it since I’m doing nothing ^^ (yah the font although pretty, is HARD to read, it’s the best for right now, but i may be able to edit it or look into it in the future) thanks again ^^

Thank you so much for all the comments! Super kind and it means me feel good knowing my comic is reading the way I hoped.

No worries! And thank you very much for looking at mine! Tho you don’t have to sub if it’s not your thing! I’m just glad I had the idea to do this.

@RosesnWater I've read your comic and it's great, very intelligently written and your art represents the dark mood of the story perfectly. The 7 episode prologue was so good, it didn't seem like a prologue.

Only a couple of things stood out that would be nice to edit. When the mother tells the last story, it is in an Old English font which is very difficult to read, especially online. If you do use this font elsewhere, it's great for a header, just a word or two on a sign. Serif fonts are difficult to read online.

This may be only me, but the image(s) in prologue 4, starting after the name Netvor are too large. I had to scroll up and down again to figure out the image. I knew it was the girl's eye, half face, tear drops, but it took a while to sink in. That's minor.

However, you have a powerful story to tell and some very creative, expressive art to go with it. Thank you for sharing your talent.

My story evolves in the art. I've started out with some color pages then went to regular black and white, panel type comic. In Chapter 7, I started using color and scroll down format. You could either start at the beginning or on Chapter 7. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you.

Hello! first of all :confetti_ball: Happy Anniversary :confetti_ball:

I read your comic and the art and colors was really awesome in the prologue 5 when the story began.

I only had a minor issue with the font style (you must have heard it before also) but prologue 6&7 was my favorite, the deer, the heart and especially the Crows part.

The story and the way it unfolds page per page is very interesting keeping the reader intrigued and the dialogues are also very beautifully written. I really liked it and I'm really looking forward to more episodes/chapters

Here is my comic. it has episodes so you can only check out how much you want to read it.

I'm guilty...these "one-of-a-kind" bunch have been sitting on my couch. This is one of the most relatable and cute cartoon daily adventure I've read. The simplicity, cuteness, little wings, making tea, cookies, cleaning...and mainly SLEEPING cuts to my heart and makes me laugh.
I luv how each episode is short enough to keep my focus with a punchline of smiles.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!
you have no idea how much happy I was after reading this (cries tears of joy:sob::sob:🤧🤧)
I am really happy to know that you like my comic. I have no words to express my appreciation for the love you showed me, so once again thank you 🥺🥺

Sounds fair to me!

I love your set up  Very interesting and got me wanting to see where you go with it. I'm not a fan of the fairytale font though. It was very difficult to read. It slowed my ability to get through it and distracted me from your artwork because of the extra effort at deciphering it. I get what you were doing, that choice didn't work particularly well for me. But I'll be subing and reading further

Hope you enjoy mine enough to read further too but first pages are important for getting people interested!

@RosesnWater I like the story so far. I always love a slow burn, instead of a fast paced story. It helps a reader connect with the characters better and get truly invested in the story. Love the artwork and the pages look beautiful. I love the subtle use of colour throught all the black & white.
The only thing that really bugged me, was the font style when the story is told. It's too hard to read and it gets hard on the eyes. That's why a lot of fonts that are available on some software are not used. Because, when it comes to having a lot of text, it gets too hard to read and unfortunately a lot of people will give up, which would be a shame in your case, because I think you're story is worth the read.

Here's my comic series, if you want to review it. Keep in mind that I haven't changed all of the pages to a scroll format yet (my series gets printed) and I recently changed my font style, and not all chapters have been changed yet either. The fixes are a work in progress.
