I love the Chinese short dramas trending rn

I confess that I tried super duper hard to ignore 30 minute ads trending on IG for months on end. I would scroll away from them and roll my eyes because why would I ever waste my time downloading several apps to watch dramas with the same plot point?

I thought I would never fall for it, I never paid attention to it until...

One drama caught my eye, and then there I was, downloading one app, then another, and then another.

I now have nearly 10 of those apps downloaded on my phone I log in every day to get points, I watch ads to continue the episodes or get 100 coins if they offer it. I'm completely hooked on watching these short dramas with repeated plots and sh*tty male love interests.

Yes, I do know I could probably find these dramas on YouTube and not waste so much time on app ads, but it's just not the same

Ouf, Chinese dramas are the worst, and I mean that in a nice way. I grew up watching a variety of Asian dramas, so I lean more into the classics or older series. Too many apps can make me hate using my phone.

To be frank, I used to have that problem too where I said to myself that I wouldn't download anything advertisements tell me to download. Weeks later I did the thing I told myself not to do. I ended up downloading ten different gaming apps. most were the copy and pasted produced games. When I got fed up with the amount of time wasted on these apps, I just deleted any and all gaming apps from my phone, I even included social apps like Twitter and Reddit to be uninstalled (because of the distraction aspect). I hadn't seen many advertisements since.
