So, I have a funny story. When I say funny, I mean I'm sweating bullets. My audience donated 50k ink, because they're all saints. Saints and angels, all of them. God bless each and every one of them. The conundrum here is that being an idiot is effortless for me, and I synced my tapas account with the, I shit you not - wrong Paypal email. Fearful of sending the sweat and tears of my readers zooming into the void with a single tap of the 'Request transfer' button, I have come here for the wisdom of the forum elders.

How do I switch the email I idiotically confirmed was in fact the 'PayPal email' they were asking for? Please send help or prayers. Either way, I'll appreciate it and I've failed to figure this problem out myself.

I HOPE IT GETS RESOLVED! I lose my own money all the time in pockets, wallets, even in front of my nose. I have never lost someone elses money though! That would be..surreal, and sad to witness.

Was I extorted and locked out? Did A subscription hold me at gunpoint and steal my money? No clue. Once upon a time, the email I used DID link to a Paypal account that had money- but then one day, not a dollar - and a bank account in overdraft.

Since then, I just made a new one. I could never get a definitive answer as to why that happened. So, to make it worse- the email I used while drawing a mental blank links to a dead account. An Existing account! But a dead one. At least I think?

Honestly, I haven't checked. Let me check...

(So, I tried . No luck. Tried on a different browser. No luck. I don't have a VPN or Proxy on right now, so it's not that. If it's an authentication issue, I have no idea why it won't let me verify, and if Paypal gave me the boot for a nasty overdraft - I didn't know that existed on Paypal, but as said- I was fucked over gloriously. they didn't email me. So, next I'll try mobile.... and yeah, same result. Well, shit gang.)

TL;DR: Linked to Dead Paypal account instead of working one.
Troubleshooting and trying to get into dead Paypal did not work.

GOOD NEWS: The money has not left Tapas! This account is just synced with the wrong email, but the money has not been sent anywhere, it remains on tapas, no transfer requested!

BAD NEWS: Someone gave me money, and assumed I had braincells

Oh, okay, if the money hasn't left Tapas, you might be able to link it to your current Paypal.

You can probably change that in your settings. I've never done anything like this before, but that would be the first place I would start. If you can't find a way to do it, the best option would be to contact Tapas: they might be able to help you with it.

Yeah, send an e-mail to feedback@tapas.io with a subject line like "Paypal Help" and they should get back to you within a few days. Michael might not have seen this ping since he might be overloaded with the goings-on of the site redesign feedback thread.

Hey, hope this thread is not dead-dead. So I accidentally ran into the same problem except I didn't click on the confirmation email. Did your account get fixed and is there a way to fix this myself or do I need to contact tech support.
