I need an artist to help me with my series and im broke

im horrible at arting, but im a good writer. im looking for an artist who i will SHARE profit with but cannot pay any other way. they can help me with story because i will need it but they should enjoy drawing for me. i am looking for a certain style though so if you are interested post some pictures please.

2-No description of the story or the idea
3-Claim that you are a good writer without any proof
4-"Enjoy drawing for me" - huh who are you again?
5-No description of the style that you are looking for.

You should include more info in this post, such as a summary of the kind of story you're writing as well as any examples of previous work you've done writing for comics. Also, you say share the profits, you should expand on that. If you have any plan to print and distribute that's more of a profit than just splitting the Tapastic Ad Revenue.

And in my experience, if you are a writer looking for an artist (especially to work for free), you should actually LOOK for an artist. There are plenty of threads on here where artists are looking for collaborators to work on stories with. If you actively look into those artists and contact them and pitch your story, that seems like an easier way to find an artist than just waiting for them to come to you.

Just to add, finding the right person for anything is a lot more work than it looks. To find a person you enjoy working with you might have to make a fool out of yourself to over a thousand people ~.~

ok yeah that makes since. i don't know exactly how much profit i will get, but if its well liked i will try to print. 70% for the artist, 30% for me. i do realize that the art is hard and takes a lot of time. i cant outwardly prove i'm a good writer but every now and then i do short stories and friends like them so ill let others be the judge of my skill. i don't really know SPECIFICALLY what im looking for though, i just want something that appeals to my eyes but is more serious. if it would make things easier, i can post a description of one of the main OC's and see what pops up.

I might recommend starting a blog or tumblr account and start posting your stories or little sections of your stories. Start collecting reference pictures (things like scenery, hair styles, etc.) and post those too. Join a writers group on facebook or http://nanowrimo.org/

Start building a fanbase and make friends with artists. It might be good to make friends with new-ish artists so that you can grow with them. Be nice to people. Comment on their comics. Talk about what you like about their writing.

Honestly, I found my writer partner in crime because she always commented on my work (and turns out she was an employee at my work too). We started hanging out, became friends and now I draw all her comics for her. (We profit share)
