My comic is kinda supposed to take place in England (though it's not really important but I'd like to keep it coherent).
Here's my question : are ALL taxis in England black cabs ? (not necessarily black but the same type of car ? with the same "TAXI" sign ?)
Or are there other types of taxis ?
I'm asking because I'm working on a page where there's a taxi (no shit Sherlock) and in the 2 panels we see it, it's from behind but we must still recognize it's a taxi...

And if it looks like this :

It means the "TAXI" sign is hidden from behind...

I had that kind of taxi in mind when I drafted the page :

Where you can easily see the TAXI sign from both sides...

You can add signs to the car... The yellow one might have something written on the back too since it's already garishly covered with words lol

Brit here,

You'll only really find the 'black cabs' in London (theres are tons) and some other major cities like Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham etc etc.

ANY car can be used as a taxi here all is required visual is a light up taxi light sign on top of the car (held on by magnets i believe) and a liencsed registration plate that go UNDER the normal number plate. thou you'll find the 'people carriers' (6-8 people) will have lights built into the cars facing forward like the classic black cab

heres some taxis in my area:

Hmmm.. looks like that damn sign on the roof is still only visible on the front...
I could add signs like you said @zelkats but my panels look like this :

so they might not be visible enough...
Oh well, I'll try to change the first panel so that we can see the front of the sign I guess...

Thanks for your answers !

yeah, most of the time the cheaper taxis just have the car wraps and sticky back vinyls on the cars :/

another Brit here. I'll just second what was said before any car will do as long as it says clear that's its a taxi and most important they have to have the licence from the local council on the back.

and i almost forgot.. the cabs drivers talk about the weather or the goverment

Ahah, thanks ! It was more about the "taxi" sign than the type of car really. If there where some that had a sign that could be read from behind... But apparently not so I changed the panel !

I uhhh... don't think they are on the forums anymore haha :sweat_02:
