I'm working on my merch but I'm confused how to size the dimensions for charms, stickers and buttonsI use Clip Studio Paint if anyone could help me out, also how do I convert my colors to CMYK?
Sizing will depend on the requirements of the people making your merch , typically it just needs to be high enough quality to be printed but there could be other things so definitely email whoever you’re interested in. As for clip studio and CMYK I’m not sure that’s a feature on there yet you may need to find a program like procreate or photoshop that does and convert it after the fact if you have no other program that can do CMYK
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into those programs to convert them!
For converting to CMYK I'd suggest getting the free Photoshop alternative, GIMP. It's a little tricky to get the hang of at first, but the layout is kinda similar to CSP actually.
Where are you going to be getting your merch printed?
I'm looking at a place called ready comics, I've looked at a lot of different places and they have a good selection and quality. But I'm getting the charms done with ZapCreatives, I'm confused on the layout I need to make the charms in
I've never done charms but I have done stickers and t-shirts. Usually I just go with the resolution suggestions of websites I sell on. (Threadless and Redbubble.)
So do i need to make the canvas size the same as how big the stickers will be? Like I'm getting 3×5 stickers do I need to draw it in that size? Or can I do a bigger canvas sizeSorry if I'm asking too much, I'm very new to this >_<
It's no problem So usually what I do is make it a little bigger than the recommended size and then the site usually adjusts it down automatically (I'm not familiar with the sites you mentioned, but I assume they have a feature like that, seems standard to the two sites I use.)
