I need Patreon suggestions before i open my page

Hello everyone! I am a webcomic artist who works on Carnival theory. I have opened a ko-fi a few months back and i was debating whether or not to open a patreon.

What would be good rewards?
I was thinking maybe offering some sneak peaks to my work, how i work, early access to some of the pages i work on. But i tend to stomp myself and wonder what else i could offer. Here are some of the ideas i have
-character sheets
-early access to youtube videos and speedpaintings i do
-commission? maybe a chibi one?
-phone backgrounds

im open for other suggestions

How to manage Patreon?
Im pretty sure it is best to start with one tier first. Like one dollar or something of the sorts. Should i open other tiers when i get more popular right? sorry im an incredible noob at this but im ready to learn

What brings you to a patreon?
What makes one patreon page more appealing and what makes you say "yes i will support you"

Again i am very new to patreon and its many features and id like to dip my toes into it and if it would be a great spot for me to earn from my work but also make it grow

Those are some really great ideas! You could also try doing coloring pages. If you are comfortable with it, you could also offer nsfw stuff of your characters for one of the tiers. I don't have a Patreon myself. But I have put a lot of thought into opening one eventually in my life and I have always thought that I want to start with mostly downloadable stuff. That way I don't have to send anything out at first. Then if I start to get patrons I could eventually move to offering higher tiers with stickers or prints.

I'm in the same situation as you. I'm currently working on my patreon. I plan to open patreon for my recently released webcomic. My plans include early access to pages and art (including wallpapers), comic scripts, comissions, behind the scenes look (thumbnails, process, character design, and sketches), and work in progress art. The question is what tiers should I put the features in and how much?

@bluerosefantasy There are people who put a video introduction. Maybe you can put a comic page or art introducing yourself and features you offer.

I'm a novelist, I'm not popular but I do have Patreon. I started September 2019 and as of now, I have 64 Patrons. Patreon is really good to earn extra income and a way for fans to support their favorite creators. If you have a number of audience, I think you really should start Patreon soon.

Based on my experience, I think you should start with 2-3 tiers and $2 being the lowest amount and the $5-$10 the highest for now because Patrons like having choices. Even if a certain tier doesn't have a patron yet, don't be discouraged because there will be someone someday that will want that.

Also, if you put the price into $1 you'll never be able to change that if it started getting patrons on that tier so you should set the price based on the privilege's worth patrons will get. Not over priced but also not below its worth.

Also, it's good to have schedules when to update and how many you will update in a month so Patrons will know what they will get with their money's worth.

Anyway, this is just my amateur advice on Patreon. I'm no way expert on it but from my experience, I wished this was what I did when I first started. I hope this helped and goodluck with your future patreon page.
