I need your support ! ( for my comedy comic )

Hey,
I see that there is a lot of self-promotion topics. I don't know if this does bring readers, but let me give it a shot since my comic has not been viewed yet by people but a little.

I already made around 20-30 episode of my comic but in non-English language. I decided to translate them into English and upload them here (till now I uploaded 6 episodes). However, I will continue making comics as long as my brain still working xD.

Finally, this is my comic's bio :

Thieves maybe considered as heartless or merciless. But in my world, they are mindless. This is not a bad thing if they make you laugh! ( If they didn't make you laugh, then press subscribe and I guarantee you will laugh in the next episodes) .

It does not work in my opinion. Everybody here is a creator fighting over larger slices of the same.
pizzas. The self-promotion threads seem to happen because new creators are continually arriving here and copying what they see done by others. Instead, I strongly recommend advertising oneself anywhere else online except inside Tapas.

Regarding your comic, I liked it. I laughed at a couple of the gags because of how the punchlines were delivered. I think that maybe some things were lost in translation though. Take the title, The MSMs; I have no idea what that means.

TheMsMs is a random meaningless name I used years ago as a nickname in fourms. I think it has an unique touch when you read it.

That's what I'm doing, I have a promotion thread on another writing forum and it really helped me a lot to gain readers, not just subscribers. If you just want subscribers to get a nice number, you can promote here and get many other creators who want the same. But to get somehow successful, you need real readers

I both agree and disagree. Maybe you won't get a million subs from these forums, but I have so far managed to get a few readers in a months time, and it was because of promo threads. Though perhaps not single promo threads like this one but going into the other general promo threads, I have both gotten readers and found comics I have enjoyed myself. I do agree that reaching out outside of Tapas is a good idea, but checking out some of the promo thread's here, promoting your comic, and checking out others will provide some benefit.

As for the topic, I have read your comic and have subscribed. I found it quite funny but only the strips having to do with thievery. The more general strips, I didn't find that funny, so my suggestion is you stick with the topic of thieves and make material based on that.

I also have a comedy comic but my comic happens to have character development as well. Perhaps you can also provide some character development and maybe even some story lines. Since this is about thieves, some capers would be fun to read.

I would agree with you. I've found that I am good only on making thieves jokes. I tried using joke about different characters but that didn't work well. Anyway, I maybe try in the future making characters that interact with the thieves and make every thieves has unique personality.

MsMs might mean something to you but as a reader, I keep reading is as Mask or Masked or something like that. It is just so more in the content of the comic. Not that original, but it will suits better.

Anyway, as others have said. There is a limit to what this forum can give you in subs and readers but it is a start.

Problems with other forums and twitter and Reddit and Facebook is that they will read and they will follow but mostly only on that platform you are promoting on.
Getting a user from another platform to subscribe to Tapas can be hard.

MsMs is read like The Miss Miss ( read quickly)

Generally, five years ago, I was trying to figure out a nickname for an online game. I thought of a name that starts with 'mr' ( example: mr-yass). But then I thought of mr-mr ( mister mister xD) and then I changed it into msms cause I feel it is smoother. I stuck with this name a long time ago and it became a part of me which is the reason why I wanted to name my comics like that.

Talking about social media, I did try sharing at reddit but it gave me , as you said, only a little views without likes or subscribes.
