I received an email about A.I. use

So, I just received a couple of emails about my stories that accuse them of being A.I. created. While they're 100% drawn artwork, and I have all the messages and contacts to prove it, I just want to confirm if this is a scam or not.

I would assume a scam since the site link isn't the actual one to tapas.io, and I don't have any notifications on here, so I'd guess it's a scam, but it's the first time I've seen it pop up, so I'm unsure. I just don't want to give them any proof for some scam sight to try using it as proof that they own my stuff, you know? Any insight on this?

I just checked the links in your profile and they're broken. But, I then went a looked for your stuff on Tapas proper and they pulled up just fine. So, I don't think your work has been banned and the email you got may not be legitimate, but you should probably fix the links in your profile.

I've gotten this email before, and you just have to send proof that it's not AI generated. I'm not sure what triggers the flag, (whether auto or human) but my story has gotten it for the cover before and all I had to do was send screenshots to prove it wasn't an A.I. Image

The site that the email provides isn't the one connected to tapas, though. That's what really makes me question its authenticity. Plus, it's my first time getting an email like this from tapas, so I just want to cover all my bases before I send any retraction emails with any of my personal proof of things.

There are a lot of scammers out there, keep an eye out for grammatical errors in the emails, and whatnot. If there are any links, don't click on em, and check the email that sent you. If its a blank PFP, prolly fake, if the email doesn't look legit, its prolly fake.

This does not have to do with AI.
But, I have never gotten an email from Tapas.
Instead I get direct private DMs from support in the app from team moderators.
In relation to any touch ups I have to do to adjust for their ratings. Sometimes I just need to add more black outs in tiny spots. And is real people that talk to me, quick replies within minutes then problem solved.

It just says from Tapas moderators. I assumed if they really had something against my novels, they'd at least send me a notification on Tapas at least lol. I'll just see what happens. Worst case is I'll just re-upload later and explain myself if need be the second time. It'll be easy enough to test it.

It might be because I don't use the app and have always communicated with moderators through email, because I also write for Radish (their other property)

I just provided my experience, and I know that email is Tapas, which is why I knew it was legit

This is the email I received. If this doesn't look familiar to anyone, then I'll just assume it's a scam. Otherwise, my series will be taken down until I re-upload them and remedy the situation.

On a side note, I did suddenly jump up hundreds of views at the same time. Not sure if it's related, but it's only to the two written stories, which both of them got warnings on, presumably for the covers. I got to oversee the entire creation process on both, though, so I know neither are A.I., but I'll clear my name if these two emails turn out to be real.

I wonder why I did not get an email at all and only a private dm?
I don't use any webtoon apps. I'm all desktop.
I got mine on my profile wall in private message mode.
I won't post what was said cause they describe the mature issue that go against the community guidelines. Which are vauge. But it was an easy fix issue. I just needed my silhouetted black outs to look more simple shapes.

Honestly, I would have preferred a post on my page over an email. I have hundreds of emails from scammers, so it would be easier to accept as a real request if it was.

It might be because yours was a mature content issue, and this is an AI-Use issue.

I've gotten a private wall comment about Mature content before, but the AI was email. they might just use different mode of contact depending on the type of issue they are addressing. Considering in the AI-Use case, they accept videos or screenshots, something more easily sent through email than the DM system

I'd assume it's legit. I gave a quick peep at your affected stories and I can see how someone might report your cover art. The quality is high, but the titles/font look like something slapped on as an afterthought. That's something you see a lot with AI users. Also, you don't credit the artist(s) in your story descriptions; another thing that sets off AI warning bells. Most people that have commissioned an artist are going to give them credit.

I have received the same email , however I didn't do anything
I actually felt burn out and tired
It's obvious the work isn't AI so I took it down lol
I'm a professional character designer and a portrait artist .. My art is very close to reality
I'm sorry you have this issue , you have to talk to them directly and ask what is the problem .. They will answer and solve the problem
