Hi all.
I love Gene Wolfe's "The Book of the New Sun". Since I read it four years ago, I haven't stopped thinking about it.
A year ago, on April 14th, he died. Hours later, Notre Dame burned, and no one will ever convince me that She did not do so in mourning and rage of his death.
That summer I finally told myself that I needed to do something with my art, and my passion for his work was what motivated me at last to write and draw a comic. Now, as he honored Jack Vance basing his world on "Dying Earth", I try to base mine on a minimal fraction of the greatness that his "New Sun" series is to me.
But though I would appreciate if you to take a look at what little I have proudly achieved so far, I also ask for stories like his. "Dying Earth" setting, dark tone, weird science-fantasy and, most of all: complex, deep and hidden lore that you have to work on to discover little by little.
No matter the format. Novels, comics and even videogames. Yours or otherwise.
I'll give you two great examples: the webcomic "Kill Six Billion Demons" and the "Dark Souls" videogame series.
Thank you very much for reading.
