If you got a hypothetical animated adaption of your comic what would be your soundtrack?

I'm actually composing my own music for my comic.. whenever it comes out. I plan on making themed around spacey moody ambient music, traditional Japanese music, and my take on metal, and maybe having them all collide in the climactic fight. Here's a shameless plug lol you can check it out here.

But if someone else had to work on it.. I'd pick Yuki Hayashi and Yutaka Yamada to do the music for it, No question about it. I absolutely love their work on My Hero Academia and Tokyo Ghoul as well as the Bleach (2018 live-action film)

So.. yeah, I think a soundtrack made from both of them working together would sound amazing for that hypothetical animation!

I dunno what the cover would be for the soundtrack, but I'd guess it'd be something similar to this?

As for the music, I'd definitely have a soft rock soundtrack. Songs from Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, The Association. Sounds like that.

Something kinda mellow.

I've been thinking Hierain Highs would have grimes/ early nineties/ indie aesthetic Because it's all particualrly Rough-ish and kinda mysterious sometimes, Songs like Venus Fly Or Buttercup If the tone it's a bit more upbeat! and stuff like early morning robert or something about ghosts if its all moody and down trodden.

Also Cult of Personality by varsity, because it's a so amazing and nicely encaspulates the ego of my 2nd antagonist, Robes. X)

Must listen to allllll of it. To be prepared in case I ever get animated But yeah I can see that for an opening. I can actually see the opening animation in my head but I can't draw it T_T

Thanks! I was into electro swing for a bit a few years back as well.

(I'll answer what I think what music would work for my projects after I think about that a bit and gather examples. Funnily enough, I want to be an animator for my career, so a lot of my ideas materialized as animated projects in the start. Namely DRGN.)

My dream is to have my series become an anime one day, so sometimes I listen to Japanese music or regular soundtracks and imagine the characters animated to the beats.

if we are talking about opening and ending some two electro songs i made, for the ost idk some jazz and hard rock plus electro sht sometimes. i guess...

I was thinking that Japanese jazz fusion you'd hear in something like Capcom games in the 90s or Mighty Orbots for DRGN, maybe with a little bit more rock or orchestra to give it a bit more of a Sentai or fantasy vibe. The six main heroes would definitely have those lyrical themes you here in anime and Kamen rider that play when ever they do a cool action scene.

For edible!e green tea, probably something that sounds like a cross between the jazz you'd hear in Peanuts specials, and the quirky trip hop of the Gorillaz.

For my comic, it would be a mix of war movie classics with lots of mournful trumpets and snare drums, jazz and big band from the 1940's, especially Glen Miller or Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters, and of course that show tunes standard, "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better."
