• Stop working, and only put up sketches, notes, doodles, and the like whenever you remember "this existed".

I put "stop wherever you are" because I'm right at the end of chapter 1, and it could work as a (very frustrating) open end. My main character is seen leaving his hometown. Not as bad as stopping in the middle of a fight, but not very good either because not much happened in my story yet!

I think if I decide now to wrap the story up, I need minimum 4 chapters, that's at least 2 years. Oops. Good thing I'm still as enthusiastic as when I started, if not more.

Man... this is a difficult question. I chose meteor, because at least that brings closure to the story. Honestly, I'd probably do what tv series do: create a rushed, BS ending that kind of does what I want. I dunno. For some reason, I will always prefer a mediocre crap ending over a cliffhanger.

My story is currently at the phase when the two characters are about to confess their feelings, so I guess I could end it with one page. Like:
- Do you love me?
- Nope
curtain falls

I'd prefer an aggravating cliffhanger that's open to fanfics and overbearingly heated discussion boards than to just kill everyone off. The ending can make or break all the rest of the story for me, and if the ending is awful I'd rather it just... didn't end. People would've been so angry with Firefly if they'd taken the meteor route, but since it was just left unfinished, the fans are still diehard.

A bit of C and D. Someone eats a soul and gets to cast Remove Levitation on the islands, no one's around to stop it from being finished, oh well. But I'd still at least give Things I Wanted to Draw in small sketches afterwards, not giving too much away since I'd probably want to start again someday.

How immediate is "now"? Like, if I only have 2 hours left, I wouldn't have enough time to even give a terrible rush ending, would I? Then my only option would be "post whatever you have left and that's it."

That aside, between an obviously unfinished comic and a rushed ending, as a reader I prefer the former. This would affect how I would handle the situation. I would leave it unfinished. Terrible rush endings don't even leave any room for headcanon endings. For readers like me, an unfinished comic will be missed and remembered fondly; a comic that ruins itself with a terrible ending will be the cause of annoyance, frustration and no positives whatsoever.

I'm at a somewhat advantageous/cheater-y point in my comic for this poll as is my comic is on the fast track to the end, so it would be easy enough to just wrap it up in 1 page vs. the 6 or 7 I actually have planned out. In fact this weekend's update could go up and be the conclusion if it really had to. A few loose ends would be remaining but eh, close enough.
