Hi there everyone. I thought I'd share something here that might help everyone get some new readers or at least get more information out about your story you want to tell.

In bookstores and internet lists I've seen there have been books and movies/tv shows catergorised under 'If you loved this read/watch this' Usually it will reference some sort of story that is currently popular and then list a few other suggestions for people who liked that other work.
So... how would you list your comic or novel?

Try to think of something well known currently, or timeless like Shakespeare etc, so that alot of people will know what you are referencing.

I actually had difficulty with my comic. At least with more popular well known work.

For more well known non-manga recommendation I'll have to say 'If you loved 'Alexa and Katie' on Netlfix, but want a more realitsic story... then you'd love Ethereal1. Heh, had to add the extra bit there.
For anime it would be 'If you loved "When Marnie was there" or "Your Lie in April then you'd like Ethereal1

So what would you put?

Try to be specific, I didn't put 'Fault in our stars' or 'A walk to Remember' because it is not a romance story, just the sick girl story is similar. Even 'Your Lie in April' is a little far out but the lie is there.

I look forward to seeing your posts!

This is a little similar to another recent thread, but I'll bite!

If you loved the Discworld Series, read The Aphuanian Tales, a collection of stories about the continent of Aphing as told through the eyes of its citizens! My stories feature cocky pirates, strange men who lurk in corners, trying to look threatening, and a man with a brick. You can check out my work below!

really? which thread? I didn't see one so I thought it would be ok to post. I like your recommendation idea :sparkling_heart:

For my current novel, I would say if you like Bates Motel, Fargo, or Twin Peaks (basically psychological thrillers, murder mysteries set in small towns with secrets), you would enjoy Devil's Triangle.

Shackles is much easier. :joy: If you like historical Chinese drama or Hua Mulan, this completed novel will be down your alley!

For Dark Bytes, I would say Black Mirror, Love, Death & Robots is a very close fit. :imp:
Also Psychopass if we're talking about anime.

This one worked really well! I have seen your novels around but felt more intrigued to check them out when I heard you say they're like Black Mirror for Dark Bytes or Bates Motel and Twin Peaks for 'Devil's Triangle'. I just bought a new novel in a fav series so might not have as much time to read for awhile but I will definitely check them out!

If you love the toxic kinky fuckery of 50 Shades of Grey with the mayhem and character analysis of The Killing Joke, you will enjoy Birth of a Sin:

If you love Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra, Megaman, or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, you'll like my comic

If you love The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., Asobi Asobase, and Daily Lives of High School Boys, then you'd like My Crazy Classmates!

If you loved the Kdrama Goblin or uncanny counter (also a webcomic) or D.Gray Man then you might also like Grim Reaper in training.

I have been mentioning this a lot to people when I introduce them to the Sparrow. A friend of mine came up with it and I like how she put it.

If you like Percy Jackson or the Avengers, but want a same sex couple as the leads, you'll like the Sparrow1

If you like Dragonball, Naruto or Star Wars, there's a pretty high chance you'll like Space Pirate!

Oooh this is where we interacted! I was trying to figure out how you came across my comic and I really appreciate your comments and support. I'm getting a chance to look through yours now so thanks again!

Do you wish the concept of Gilligan's Island was executed like The Twilight Zone? And then blended with the style of Ghost Stories Dub? Read about asshole stuck together post-world-end.

Are you a fan of Percy Jackson? Well, what if gods were not the only type of celestial beings able to have human children? And what if they all went to school together? Except, things aren't exactly what they seem...
