Astrid: definitely some water starter, because shes very privy to water. maybe mudkip? i feel like that goes well with her calm and measured nature
Gray: she looks up to Astrid and often mimics her (though would never admit to either thing) so she'd probably choose a water pokemon too. i think she'd choose totodile of the water starters (that im familiar with), mostly because of its bitey looking nature, aha.
Soleil: definitely a fire starter. maybe charmander? a classic. if not that, cyndaquil or maaaybe torchic. i dont think she'd fuck with torchics later forms as much as the others, though
Eilise: if she were to do grass i'd say treecko for sure.... but im not sure which type she'd go for
Holly: snivy. she would think its attitude having look would be hilarious and would think its later forms are cool
Laurel: chikorita. idk, maybe its because that was my starter in soul silver, but theyve always felt very grounded and dependable to me, which fits her. also, shes old, so older gens work better, aha
Leilah: mudkip also. shed just like how it looks and would want to match Steffan's water type
Steffan: squirtle!!! because he has an affinity for water (and flying type as well i imagine) and its just a classic. he'd like that!
