I don't want to mention my age as I actually don't like admitting that I'm getting older, but let's just say that I'm a decade ahead of most of the artist on this site, and everywhere else for that matter. I'm starting to notice the age gap of the mainstream audience as the interest being promoted is clearly something I would've liked a decade ago. Not to mention gaming nostalgia seems to be reaching the 2000s now as the 90s are starting to be antiquated. Man, getting old sucks.

I have been making content for a decade now under the Toolkitz label, which sadly has not gone anywhere. Still, I persevere in the hopes that one day something I make will get noticed.

As for my comic here on Tapas, it's Mimsy's Kitchen, which is a sequel to a flash game I made years ago. I've brought her back into comic form because I've been feeling miserable a few months ago and the comic is making me feel better. I guess it's a bit of therapy. Still, I have a story I want to tell so if you are interested in a comedy taking place in a restaurant with a child protagonist along with character development, please check out Mimsy's Kitchen.

OK, let me throw the age balance way off! I'm 64 and I've been working in the comic book industry for 40 years. Always having written and drawn in traditional publishing, I wanted to try out the web comic format so I started Sally Nosferatu. Sally started off as a series of drawings for Inktober and grew from there.

When I'm not drawing/writing comics I teach narrative art so there's no balance here, I draw then I draw some more. Occasionally I find time to write. I think I'm very lucky in that respect.

As far as my plans with Sally, I want to use this project as somewhere I can play, do whatever I want, change formats on a whim and feel free to experiment.

There are so many comics just on this thread alone I want to read, especially after reading a little about each of you!

I'm not sure if im doing this right, i´m 25 and recently i started with digital drawing and atempt making a comic, I always loved telling stories but i never viewd myself as someone who can draw, much less a comic, but then i started seeing it as a way to improve at drawing and push myself on a project.

Wow, nice, there are people above 30 ! Interesting to see some of you have been in the comic / novel world for long and still have the fire, and younger ones still aim to make a living of their art.

I'm 33 and I've been dreaming about being a full time cartoonist for many years. But when I made it 2 years ago, I finally found it less fulfilling that I thought, as I do only the art part. Collaborating was interesting, and great, really, but I discovered that what I love the most about creating comics is telling a story, Now I'd rather do my own project, as a hobby, and not stress about money or productivity all the time.
Plus, I like my current job, it keeps me in contact with people, the perfect equilibrium for me. /o/
