So, when I was first on Tapas, all I did was chill in the forums and talk with people and asked for advice on how to go about starting up a comic.
The best piece of advice I got was hyping it up before I even put it out. That helped me get 100 subs within the week. Now, comics and novel differ greatly in that someone must read yours to get engaged, instead of with comics where a lot of readers judge by the cover and first page at a glance. And hyping a novel up is hard when you don't have visuals to spread around.
I think that, in order to see faster growth, your best bet is to:
a) genuinely speak on the forums, engage with other creators/authors
b) talk up your novel and your own excitement about it on other social platforms
c) be patient, and focus more on views if anything
Now... a reminder that, even if your work is great, it can get swept under the waves of algorithms and what's mainstream to consume currently. Even for comic authors on here, if artwork doesn't match the mainstream, or characters aren't what's currently in fashion to follow, it's difficult to cultivate an audience.
Something I noticed about your profile in the forums is that it does not have a link to your profile on your tapas account. Be sure to add a link to your novel/profile on other platforms as well! This helps get traffic in, even if it's not many subs. Focus on the views--subs will come in time.
Dude. I also noticed that you have 98 subs. That's good! You're only 2 away from 100. xD lmao
