maybe something airy like "whoosh" "fasshhh" or something that feels gusty and quick

Ugh, I hate sound effects. They're hard to to without sounding hokey. I tend to make up my own "sounds" for this reason. For speed I tend to go with "w" sounds for soft slower wind. Or "ss" for things traveling quickly. Like "Wisssss" might be the sound of someone taking off running nearly silently. But it can be used in multiple ways. Or not at all. Those onomatopoeia (I spelled it right!!) sounds seem to be falling out of favor a bit.
