In your novel or comic who is your favorite character?

In your novel or comic who is your favorite character? Is it your main character?

I just started uploading my Web Novel Age of Eldoria.
While I like my main character, after getting further into the story I discovered I have two other favorite characters.
Arandur and Morag.

Both for totally opposite reasons.
Morag whose more introverted finds strength but also fights a darkness within her, while Arandur is like an onion.

I'd say more, but I haven't uploaded chapters yet where you really get to know them.

I don't think I have a true "favorite " character in Etherwood, I like them all in different ways.
For now, I'll say Veronica's mother is my favorite character, she's heavily inspired by an amazing person I know:

What kind of cover collaboration do you have in mind? Lots of artists here would be happy to take a cover commission, you know.

I hope he's not related to Evangelion Shinji!

nice! mine is similar where we aren't always with the main character, so you do get to know the others away from the two leads!

Claudita. She's 3x FL in my comics. Slow to anger, usually calm, collected. Fighting is her last resort. Fights find her. She doesn't look for them...

Yeah, collaboration being a euphemism for free skilled labor, it's not surprising that people ain't too interested. Would you write a novel for free for a stranger who had complete creative control over everything? For potential 'exposure' to an audience of less than 100 people? Most artists already have their own personal projects to do, you know!

My favorite character is the main character, Luna! She's kind, but she can also be stubborn with how she never gives up when she sets her mind on something. I think her hidden strength is really cool. Some of her traits are also relatable to me with her autism and anxieties. I just love her 🥹

My runner-up favorite would be Thorn, the antagonist. He's a crazy, but tragic character. I think his POV is the most interesting.

My favorite is Aya. Outwards she is like like an unstopable force fused with an immovable object - strong, short fuzed, scary looking brawler. Sarcastic, sometimes pesimistic, her comments often makes her look like a comedic relief especially when her fear of deep water is added to it. But she is a serious character. And under that armor a surprisingly gentle, protective and intelligent one.

My favorite character changes alot but this week’s favorite character is my character name Tholdir who is the God of Souls and afterlife. Unlike the majority of his siblings Tholdir thinks very highly of mortals and has excellent relationship with them , he is the black sheep of the family and we’re diving
Into his past the next following chapters.

For me and my webnovel project, a character being my "favorite" usually means that character is currently fun to write. Since I have multiple character focuses, I sometimes intensify how much I like a character whenever I have to write lots of stuff in relation to them, and try to sort of embody them to help develop them further to make sure that character and the way I wrote them fits my vision. So with that logic, my fixation on a character may differ from arc to arc.

Now with that in mind, my current "favorite" character is my novel's resident goofball Rory Brixton. She is part of the main four characters, but right now she's mostly on the supporting role. I haven't fully explored her character yet in the actual published writing, but this character and her lore was unexpectedly fun to work on during the planning stage. So much that I knew that some point she would be one of my favorites.
