I was kind of dreading the idea of of trying to build my own website to post portfolio work at this time until I realized a lot of artists I follow post their work on Carrd I’ve always liked Carrd because it has that kind of personalized, hand-made feel you really don’t get with most social media these days. All I’m wondering is if this is the kind of thing, say, a publisher would want to see?
You see a lot of art professionals say stuff like “Don’t do this in your portfolio! Never forget this in your portfolio!” Contents of course matter most, but I’m just wondering if how you present it could scare people off.
Do you think something like Carrd would work well enough to present professional work or would it just be better to suck it up and make a “real” website?
