Is it a problem to have a comic with no periodicity?

Hi, i was thinking of starting a new seris with no periodicity, to post when i have ideas only. Do you guys think people won't like that? I have my principal series, who i'll maintain weekly, but i had this other idea i wanted to go with, but don't want to feel locked in her, would be like a side thing probably.

Legit just started an "update whenever" side project last night. Go for it! Consistency is important, but if you've already got a comic that updates regularly, the side project can just be experimental. If people say they like the side project better, consider switching gears.

Been considering doing something like this too.
Although it'll be good to let people know this will update whenever, that it's a side project and you're prioritizing your main series.

Yeah, the idea is to start warning people beforehand. I think being clear with the reader is always better.
